The Northland Field Day is being held next Friday, 18 November at Olives on the Hill, Mangawhai. Olives NZ EO Gayle Sheridan said the 2016 Field Days have been extremely well attended around the country, with 20-30 at Nelson, Canterbury and Hawke’s Bay, and 50 registered for Wairarapa (today). Feedback has been excellent on the information provided by Stuart Tustin on grove management to head-off biennial bearing in 2017. The Northland Field Day starts at midday and attendees are welcome to arrive early and enjoy a picnic in the olive grove. Attendance is free for members of Olives New Zealand and non-members welcome, with a $200 fee payable in advance – now’s a good time to join Olives NZ with 75% off membership fees!
