Following its inaugural participation at AUSPACK 09, newly formed engineered solutions provider to the food and beverage industries – FB*PAK, has continued on its strategic growth path with a number of exciting business development initiatives.

Firstly, the company has changed its name to FB*PROPAK Pty Ltd, after the operations of Australian Engineered Brewing Services (AEB) and Australian Olive Oil Supplies (AOOS) were successfully merged into its existing business. The new name reflects the company’s broadened scope to including processing solutions, in addition to packaging solutions.

“Through this change, we are better able to capture operational synergies and know-how, and importantly offer customers an expanded offering while continuing to be a best value ‘one-stop’ shop,” said managing director, Paul Baggio.

AEB has provided brewing solutions to Australia’s most prestigious breweries including Bluetongue
Brewery, Moorilla Brewery, Matilda Bay Brewery and most recently, The Flying Horse Brewery. AOOS is one of the oldest olive oil companies in Australia, having worked with industry leading olive oil growers and processors including Murradoc Oil Processors, Wollundry Grove and Olive Oz.

In an important milestone, the company is pleased to announce the commissioning of a $2.5m
packaging contract in China. The contract is the company’s first major project outside of Australia and New Zealand, and demonstrates the company’s growing international profile. The China project follows the recently completed $6.5m beverage packaging turnkey facility for CoPack Beverages in Melbourne.

“With the challenging domestic environment, to win business in overseas markets is a welcome respite. We are continuing to receive strong interest and are optimistic of securing further overseas and domestic contracts in the coming year”, added Baggio.

Additionally, the Company is continuing to strengthen its portfolio of specialist equipment partners, with the latest acquisitions being the high quality and innovative P.E. and SIEM equipment agencies.

“We very much look forward to working with our new equipment partners, and participating at the
forthcoming Winetech 2010 show,” said Ron van Buuren, FB*PROPAK general manager.
