Free online learning platform Alison has just launched its Diploma in Innovation Management for Food and Beverage Manufacturing, aimed at those involved in the food industry or wanting to scale their food business. All Aust: Managing Farm Risk Programme

Provides rebates for advice and assessments to help farmers prepare and apply for a new insurance policy that assists with the management of drought and other production and market risks. These one-off rebates will be for half of the costs incurred by eligible farm businesses, up to a maximum of $2 500 (GST exclusive). The rebates are not for insurance policy premiums. NSW: Farm Innovation Fund

Provides primary producers in NSW with loans of up to $250,000 to help carry out permanent works that have significant long term benefits and mitigate adverse seasonal conditions. More information here.

SA: Agribusiness Growth Program

Assistance for small food or beverage producers or agribusiness enterprises to grow their business. The program can help with the costs of obtaining business evaluations and coaching by expert consultants. More information here.

TAS: Motor Tax rebate

Tasmanian farmers can get a 40% reduction in Motor Tax on commercial goods vehicles used for agricultural purposes. Approved rebate status is recorded permanently and ongoing renewal fees automatically reduced. More information here.
